History of the Youth Advice Shop (YAS)

Did you know The Youth Advice Shop (YAS) has been open for 17 years!!  We originally started in the YMCA building and various other locations until 1998 when we moved into a building in Wilson Pattern street.

Our most recent move was in 2005 when we moved into the Gateway building on Sankey Street, Warrington, within Connexions.

Who are we?

Some young people think we are Connexions staff but it is important to realise YAS staff work for Warrington Community Service (NHS) and Warrington’s Youth Service.

This means we do not pass on any information to Connexions or any other services and keep the information you tell us confidential, even if you are under 16 years old.

The YAS team are there to help you, not judge you. Our team of Nurses, Doctors and Youth Workers work closely together to provide you with the best possible advice, information and contraceptive support.
